Job summary

CHINA CONSTRUCTION (SOUTH PACIFIC) DEVELOPMENT CO. PTE. LTD. is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to lead quality control on site.

Responsibilities include daily QA/QC checks, reporting to Corporate QAQC, and conducting subcontractor training. You will coordinate CONQUAS/QM assessments with BCA and liaise with clients and consultants on quality matters. Qualifications

• Architectural- or structural-background required.
• Min 3 years as QAQC Engineer in a main construction company; CONQUAS/quality certifications a plus.
• Strong communication, independent work style, meticulous and proactive problem-solving.
• Experience managing Quality Marks assessments or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily QA/QC checks on site.
• Prepare monthly QAQC reports for submission to the Corporate QAQC Department.
• Provide monthly QAQC training to subcontractors.
• Issue QAQC non-compliance notices to subcontractors.
• Attend monthly QAQC presentations with the Corporate QAQC Department.
• Carry out regular inspections to ensure works comply with method statements and BCA Good Industry Practice.
• Coordinate CONQUAS/QM assessments with BCA; act as the main QA/QC liaison with clients and consultants.
• Collaborate with site engineers to ensure CONQUAS compliance; provide guidance on quality protocols and training as needed.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Conduct QAQC daily checks
• Prepare monthly QAQC report for submission to Corporate QAQC Department
• Conducting monthly QAQC Training to Sub-contractors
• Issuance of QAQC Non-compliance to sub-contractors
• Attend monthly QAQC presentation and meeting at Corporate QAQC Department
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure works are in compliance with method statements (in accordance to BCA’s Good Industry Practice & approval from the clients and consultants)
• Arrange and liaise with BCA for CONQUAS/QM assessments. Act as the primary quality liaison with clients and consultants, updating them on QA/QC matters and addressing quality concerns directly related to CONQUAS scoring.
• Work closely with site engineers and supervisors to ensure construction methods comply with CONQUAS specifications, providing guidance on quality protocols and rectifications or even conducting relevant training as needed.

Job Requirements

• Architectural-trained or Structural-trained work experience
• Min 3 years experience as a QAQC Engineer in A1 building main construction company, with added experience in managing Quality Marks assessment processes or certifications a significant advantage
• Able to communicate effectively and clearly
• Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive & able to meet tight deadlines
• Good knowledge of construction quality control/assurance is necessary
• Certifications: BCA-Approved CONQUAS training or relevant quality certification such as ISO 9001:2015 in Quality Management Systems.
