Job summary

RICH CONSTRUCTION COMPANY PTE. LTD. is seeking a QAQC Engineer in Singapore to lead quality assurance and control on main construction works, ensuring compliance with method statements and client expectations.

You will prepare CONQUAS-related documentation, train subcontractors, and liaise with the Corporate QAQC Department; strong communication and meticulous problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Architectural or structural training background.
• Minimum 3 years as QAQC Engineer in A1 building main contractor.
• Certifications: CONQUAS training or ISO 9001:2015 quality management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct QAQC daily checks.
• Prepare monthly QAQC report for submission to Corporate QAQC Department.
• Conduct monthly QAQC training for Sub-contractors.
• Issue QAQC non-conformities to sub-contractors.
• Attend monthly QAQC presentations and meetings at Corporate QAQC Department.
• Ensure works comply with method statements and CONQUAS requirements; liaise with clients/consultants for quality concerns.

Responsibilities

• Conduct QAQC daily checks
• Prepare monthly QAQC report for submission to Corporate QAQC Department
• Conducting monthly QAQC Training to Sub-contractors
• Issuance of QAQC Non-compliance to sub-contractors
• Attend monthly QAQC presentation and meeting at Corporate QAQC Department
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure works are in compliance with method statements (in accordance to BCA's Good Industry Practice & approval from the clients and consultants)
• Arrange and liaise with BCA for CONQUAS/QM assessments. Act as the primary quality liaison with clients and consultants, updating them on QA/QC matters and addressing quality concerns directly related to CONQUAS scoring.
• Work closely with site engineers and supervisors to ensure construction methods comply with CONQUAS specifications, providing guidance on quality protocols and rectifications or even conducting relevant training as needed.

Job Requirements

• Architectural-trained or Structural-trained work experience
• Min 3 years experience as a QAQC Engineer in A1 building main construction company, with added experience in managing Quality Marks assessment processes or certifications a significant advantage
• Able to communicate effectively and clearly
• Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive & able to meet tight deadlines
• Good knowledge of construction quality control/assurance is necessary
• Certifications: BCA-Approved CONQUAS training or relevant quality certification such as ISO 9001:2015 in Quality Management Systems.
