Job summary

etla limited in Singapore seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to drive quality of incoming materials and components. You will lead MRB sessions with cross-functional teams to disposition non-conforming materials and implement corrective actions.

You will investigate customer complaints and coordinate containment, RMA analysis, and changes to quality documents. Collaboration with Production, Engineering, and fabrication teams is essential to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality engineering and supplier quality assurance.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001/13485/14971 is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Lead MRB sessions with cross-functional teams for disposition decisions and corrective actions.
• Investigate customer complaints and field returns to identify root causes and actions.
• Coordinate part replacement, screening, and containment at sites and warehouses.
• Perform RMA analysis including SAP transactions and quality docs.
• Maintain QA checklists, WI, SOPs, and inspection standards.
• Prepare deviation requests and supplier change notifications; support change management.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, SQE, CQE, and fabrication teams to resolve quality issues.
• Provide quality feedback and training to assembly technicians.
• Follow up to ensure timely closure of RMRS and reports.
• Compile and analyze monthly quality metrics (OLAR, supplier rejection).
• Monitor and improve product/process quality to boost customer satisfaction.

An SQE plays a crucial role in ensuring that a company's incoming materials and components meet internal quality expectations and engineering requirements. This role bridges the gap between internal operations (like procurement and manufacturing) and external vendors, particularly in industries like automotive, electronics, and manufacturing.

• Lead MRB sessions with cross-functional teams to determine disposition decisions and corrective action plans for non-conforming materials.
• Investigate customer complaints, field returns, and internal quality issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate part replacement, screening, and containment activities at customer sites, third-party providers, and warehouse inventory.
• Perform RMA analysis and investigations, including SAP transactions and quality documentation (e.g., CoC requests).
• Review and maintain QA checklists, Work Instructions (WI), SOPs, inspection standards, and other quality documents.
• Prepare deviation requests, supplier change notifications, and support change management activities, including change notices and PCP updates.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Project, SQE, CQE, and fabrication teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide quality feedback and training to assembly technicians to ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.
• Follow up with responsible parties to ensure timely closure of RMRs, investigations, and quality reports.
• Compile and analyze monthly quality metrics, including OLAR data and supplier rejection performance.
• Monitor, measure, and improve product and process quality performance to enhance customer satisfaction.

• Knowledge of vendor management, non-conformance control, and corrective action processes.
• Familiar with FAI, SPC, MSA, Control Plan, PFMEA, and other core quality engineering tools.
• Able to interpret drawings, specifications, critical requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Knowledge of audit handling, risk assessment, change management, and continuous improvement practice
