Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, SWE or related field.

Responsibilities

• Test backend services and APIs for correctness, performance and stability.

My Client:

My client is a fast-growing tech company building global digital products and next-generation AI-powered platforms. The engineering team is actively exploring practical AI applications across product development and engineering workflows.

They are currently expanding their engineering team in Singapore and looking for a hands-on QA Engineer who enjoys coding, automation, backend systems, and emerging AI technologies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Test backend services and APIs, covering functional correctness, performance, stability, and integration scenarios.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated API and integration tests, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Work closely with backend engineers to understand system architecture, new features, edge cases, and potential production risks.
• Use AI tools in daily engineering workflows to generate and improve test cases, create test data, review code, analyze logs, and troubleshoot failures.
• Build and maintain test environments, mocks, test data, and supporting automation tools.
• Investigate production and testing issues together with engineers, identify root causes, and support reliable product releases.
• Continuously improve testing frameworks, automation coverage, and overall quality engineering practices.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3~5 years of experience in QA Engineering, SDET, backend testing, test automation, or related software engineering roles.
• Good programming skills in at least one language; TypeScript or Python experience is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with API testing and automation frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, Pytest, or similar tools.
• Comfortable working with SQL, Redis, ELK, caching systems, CI/CD pipelines, and common backend infrastructure.
• Familiar with modern software development and testing practices, with the ability to understand backend services and troubleshoot technical issues independently.
• Comfortable using AI coding tools as part of daily development or testing workflows, including providing effective context, reviewing AI-generated code, and validating outputs.
• Strong problem-solving skills, engineering mindset, and attention to product quality.

Nice to Have:

• Experience testing AI-powered products, AI Agents, LLM applications, or AI-generated content.
• Interest in games and strong sensitivity to user/player experience.
• Experience from internet companies, gaming companies, fintech platforms, or fast-growing technology teams.
