Job summary

ICON OUTSOURCING is seeking a QA engineer to lead test planning, design and execution across functional and REST API testing in an agile environment. You will develop automation scripts using Playwright, Selenium, and other tools, while ensuring quality through thorough reporting and defect tracking.

The role requires strong knowledge of JIRA, Xray, CI/CD, and familiarity with e-banking/payments domains. Development exposure with Spring Boot is a plus.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Functional Testing.
• Hands-on REST API testing experience.
• Experience with test automation tool chain (Cucumber, TestNG, Selenium, Appium).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins).
• Knowledge of JIRA; Xray is a plus.
• Experience with Playwright is an advantage.
• Understanding of e-banking/payments/trading is beneficial.
• Development exposure with Spring Boot or similar is preferred.
• Strong emphasis on best practices, clean code, and security scans.

• Test planning and strategy: Develop test plans, strategies, and cases based on business and non-functional requirements.
• Possess hands‑on expertise in manual testing, including test case design, execution, defect tracking, and validation within agile environments.
• Script development: Create and maintain automation test scripts
• Analysis and reporting: Analyse test results, identify root causes of issues, and generate detailed reports for stakeholders
• Troubleshooting and defect resolution: Troubleshoot bottlenecks and collaborate with development teams to implement fixes.
• Environment and tool setup: Configure the test environment, manage test data, and use testing tools and software.

Requirements

• Expertise in Functional Testing
• Good knowledge of JIRA; Xray knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge in Playwright is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with REST API testing
• Where required, perform manual testing as needed, including periods where manual testing may be the primary responsibility.
• Good to have a solid understanding of e-banking/payments/trading experience
• Good to have hands‑on experience on the test automation tool chain Cucumber, TestNG, Selenium, Appium
• Good understanding of CI CD pipelines and tools like GitLab (preferred), Jenkins etc
• Development experience with hands‑on experience with Spring Boot or similar is preferred.
• Very good understanding of best practices, clean code policies, branching strategies and security scans.
