Job summary

KOK TONG TRANSPORT & ENGINEERING WORKS PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage end-to-end purchasing, supplier negotiations and procurement execution.

The role focuses on reducing costs, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining supplier relationships and compliant records in a fast-paced automotive-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• Min. 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of heavy vehicles, machinery and spare parts is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and problem solving skills.
• Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently in fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation and procurement execution.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and service agreements to achieve cost efficiency and business objectives.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, pricing and invoices.
• Forecast purchasing needs and monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
• Analyze market trends and purchasing data to recommend improvements and optimize procurement strategies.
• Coordinate inbound shipments from local/overseas suppliers and manage the import documentation.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases and documentation.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, regulations and quality standards.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by the supervisor.
