About the job Purchasing Assistant (West)

• Acquisition of raw materials for tasks/projects on board or in workshop activities.
• Organization of inspection / renewal of certification for legal equipment like lifting gears, lifting machinery.
• Accountable for identifying and choosing suppliers that offer the optimal costs, quality, and services.
• Tasked with negotiating, scheduling deliveries, and ensuring timely execution.
• Cultivate and sustain suppliers and alternative sources.
• Aid in administrative tasks (e.g., document verification and management, etc.)
• Management of Purchase Order Procedures in compliance with ISO 90001.
• Manage the filing system, oversee document control, and keep track of purchase records.
• To suggest enhancements in the overall purchasing strategy that will benefit the company's interests.
• Accountable for implementing effective housekeeping and overall safety measures to create a tidy and secure work environment that adheres to the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Policy.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in the associated field.
• Applicants with 0 Level and 2 years of relevant experience
• Expertise and understanding to acquire fabrication/machining of tools and equipment.
• Expertise and understanding in acquiring various grades of raw materials for hull structural steel, pipes, fittings, fasteners, and more.
• Expertise and understanding to procure services for facility upkeep and subcontract assignments for the workshop.
