Job summary

ST Engineering’s Smart Security & Automation division seeks a Project Technical Manager (System Focus) to support government security projects with strong IT and networking know‑how. You will coordinate engineers, manage subcontractors, and ensure timely delivery across office and project sites.

You will set up systems, configure databases, and resolve technical issues while guiding site engineers and leading project meetings. Occasional travel and security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of system-related experience.
• Strong interpersonal and coordination skills.
• Experience in Project Management, IT Management Systems deployment, or equivalent.
• Proficient in networking, SQL, and Windows operating systems.
• Security clearance required for government security projects.
• Willing to travel between office and project sites.

Responsibilities

• Work with Project Manager and Engineers to fulfill contract obligations on time, cost, and scope.
• Oversee project documentation and subcontractor matters.
• Perform system setup and database configuration; resolve technical and design issues.
• Provide IT infrastructure support (Microsoft and Linux).
• Understand network switches and device design within project scope.
• Install, debug, and troubleshoot IT-related issues.
• Provide hands-on guidance and knowledge transfer to site engineers.
• Oversee project teams and subcontractors.
• Host, manage, and present project meetings.
• Report progress to Project Manager and coordinate software development and site installation.

• Work closely with the Project Manager and Engineers to support the fulfilment of contract obligations within agreed timelines, cost, and scope.
• Manage and oversee project documentation and subcontractor-related matters.
• Perform system setup and database configuration, resolve technical and design issues.
• Provide support for IT infrastructure, including Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
• Possess knowledge of network switches and the design of network devices within the project scope.
• Carry out installation, debugging, and troubleshooting of IT-related issues.
• Be hands-on in providing guidance and conducting knowledge transfer to site engineers.
• Oversee project teams and subcontractors effectively.
• Host, manage, and present project meetings.
• Report project progress to the Project Manager and follow up on software development and site installation works.

Job Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills with good organisational and coordination abilities.
• Experience in Project Management, IT Management Systems deployment, or equivalent.
