Job summary

rrecruiter pte. ltd. is seeking a senior Marine Project Manager to lead ship repair, construction, and conversion projects.

You will direct operations, coordinate with customers, classification societies, engineers, and crew, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget. The role requires chairing VSCC meetings, a Ship Repair Management Certification, and at least seven years in Marine or Heavy Industries.

Qualifications

• Experience chairing VSCC Meetings.
• Ship Repair Management Certification.
• 7+ years experience in Marine/Heavy Industries.
• Diploma or Degree in Marine/Mechanical/Naval Architecture.
• Experience in cable laying, pipe laying or turrets is advantageous.

• Take charge of ship repair, construction, and conversion projects, providing direction and management.
• Lead daily VSCC meetings to address safety concerns related to hot works and incompatible tasks onboard, ensuring personnel safety and property.
• Ensure adherence to repair/refit schedules through planning, project monitoring, cost control, and timely execution.
• Cultivate positive relationships with customers, fostering teamwork and supporting their interests.
• Resolve daily conflicts at the operational level by coordinating sequential and incompatible tasks that may impact the master schedule.
• Maintain close communication with classification societies, ship owners, engineers, crew, and agents to ensure successful project completion meeting customer expectations.

• Resolve daily conflicts at the operational level by closely monitoring and coordinating sequential and incompatible tasks that may impact the project's master schedule.
• Maintain close communication with classification societies, ship owners, specialist engineers, vessel crew, and ship agents to ensure the successful completion of projects that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Requirements

• Candidate should have previous experience chairing VSCC Meetings
• Successful candidate should have completed the Ship Repair Management Certification
• At least 7 years of experience in Marine / Heavy Industries
• Diploma or Degree in Marine / Mechanical / or Naval Architecture
• Experience in cable laying, pipe laying or turrets is highly advantageous
