Job summary

SMITECH ENGINEERING PTE LTD is seeking an experienced M&E Project Lead to drive planning, execution and handover of major M&E works in Singapore. You will coordinate with LTA, consultants, main contractors and suppliers while overseeing site activities, safety and quality.

Requirements include a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Building Services, with a minimum of five years of M&E project experience in Singapore. MRT/rail or tunnel project exposure is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of relevant M&E project experience in Singapore.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Experience with LTA MRT/rail/road or tunnel projects is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of M&E systems and site coordination is required.

• Coordinate with LTA, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Review M&E drawings, technical submissions, method statements and material requirements.
• Oversee site activities, manpower, subcontractors and material deliveries.
• Monitor project schedules, costs, progress, quality and safety.
• Resolve M&E technical, interface and site coordination issues.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning and defect rectification.
• Support procurement, variation orders, claims and project reporting.
• Attend site on Saturdays or weekends when required, depending on project requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant M&E project experience in Singapore.
• LTA project experience in MRT, rail, road or tunnel projects is strongly preferred.
• Candidates with large-scale infrastructure or public-sector M&E project experience may also be considered.
• Good knowledge of M&E systems, withe Electrical project experience being an advantage.
• Strong site execution, technical coordination and subcontractor management experience.
• Familiar with M&E testing and commissioning processes.
• Good leadership, communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Possession of own vehicle is preferred due to project/site requirements.
