Job summary

Sunray Woodcraft Construction Pte Ltd is seeking a senior M&E Project Manager to lead the end-to-end execution of mechanical and electrical works on high-profile construction projects in Singapore. You will develop detailed project plans, schedules and allocate resources to meet tight timelines while coordinating diverse teams and subcontractors.

You will oversee design coordination, ensure regulatory compliance and quality, manage budgets and mitigate risks.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience managing M&E works for large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore building regulations and BCA requirements.
• Experience in project planning, contract administration, cost management, and stakeholder relations.
• Leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PM software, and design coordination tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall execution of M&E works for construction projects from inception to completion.
• Develop project plans, work schedules, and resource allocation strategies to meet objectives.
• Coordinate and oversee M&E subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and internal teams for planning and execution and ensure smooth delivery.
• Monitor progress, startup and commissioning of M&E systems; identify risks and implement mitigations.
• Review and approve M&E shop drawings, equipment, method statements, and material specs.
• Ensure all M&E installations comply with Singapore regulations and quality standards.
• Manage project budgets, track costs, evaluate variations, and implement cost controls.
• Conduct regular site inspections and coordination meetings to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with architects, consultants, and engineers for integration of M&P systems.
• Drive safety initiatives and ensure compliance with WSH regulations and company policies.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, authority inspections, and handover activities.
• Mentor and lead project engineers, site supervisors, and technical staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall execution of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) works for construction projects from inception to completion

• Develop project plans, work schedules, resource allocation strategies to meet project objectives.

• Coordinate and oversee M&E subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and internal project teams for the planning and execution of various M&E installation works and ensure smooth project delivery.

• Monitor project progress the installation and start-up of M&E systems and commissioning of project , identify potential risks, and implement mitigation measures to prevent delays and cost overruns

• Review and approve M&E shop drawings, equipment for M&E systems prior to installation, method statements, technical submissions, and material specifications for compliance with project requirements.

• Ensure all M&E installations comply with Singapore statutory regulations, relevant codes of practice, client specifications, and quality standards.

• Manage project budgets, track costs, evaluate variations, and implement cost control measures to achieve financial targets.

• Conduct regular site inspections, progress meetings, and coordination meetings to resolve technical, operational, and contractual issues.

• Collaborate closely with architects, consultants, engineers, and other construction disciplines to ensure effective integration of M&P systems.

• Drive workplace safety initiatives and ensure compliance with WSH regulations, company safety policies, and environmental requirements and procedures are incorporated in all project management activities to promote a safety working culture;

• Oversee testing, commissioning, authority inspections, and project handover activities to ensure successful project completion.

• Mentor and lead project engineers, site supervisors, and technical staff while fostering a high-performance and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related engineering discipline.

• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in managing M&E works for large-scale building or infrastructure projects.

• Strong knowledge of Singapore building regulations, BCA requirements, and industry standards.

• Proven experience in project planning, contract administration, cost management, and stakeholder management.

• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project Management software, and engineering design coordination platforms.

• Experience managing high-rise, commercial, industrial, healthcare, or mixed-development projects.
