Job summary

OLIVERS & PARTNERS PTE. LTD. seeks a Lead M&E Engineer to head a team for large-scale industrial and data centre projects. You will delegate tasks, coordinate design submittals, monitor site supervision, and manage risks.

We expect a degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with 10+ years in similar environments, and a strong ability to align technical requirements with project milestones and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of engineering experience in large-scale industrial or data centre projects.
• Strong technical knowledge in M&E works and planning; familiar with authorities' compliance.
• Lean mindset for cost and resource management.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of M&E engineers by delegating work according to project priorities and milestones.
• Coordinate M&E design submittals, site supervision, and variation orders for the client.
• Review technical submissions and material submittals from contractors.
• Ensure safety practices are adopted at the project site.
• Plan and maintain project budgets and schedule planning with the team.
• Attend and lead progress and technical meetings; discuss proposals.
• Coordinate with quantity surveyors on payments and change orders.
• Support risk management reviews.

Job description

• Lead a team of M&E Engineers by delegating work according to project priorities, technical challenges and contractual milestones.
• Coordination of M&E design submittals from contractors, as well as following up site supervision, design conflicts and variation orders for the client.
• Review technical submissions and design layouts as well as material submittals from contractors.
• Coordinate between the construction and contractors’ engineering teams ensuring that all requirements are conveyed clearly and delivered upon.
• Plan and maintain project budgets and schedule planning activities with the project team.
• Attend and lead progress & technical meetings, discuss and suggest technical proposals.
• Take part in project and risk management reviews.
• Coordinate with quantity surveyors or payment appreciations and change orders.
• Ensure safety practices are adopted at the project site.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
• Minimum 10 years’ engineering experience in large scale industrial or data centre projects.
• Strong technical knowledge in M&E works, planning capability and authorities’ compliance; adopt lean mind set to cost and resource management
