The Nanyang Technological University NTI-NTU Corporate Laboratory is looking for a Project Manager to support the delivery of co-funded multidisciplinary research projects across the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the full project lifecycle from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring and closeout. Develop and maintain project plans, Gantt charts, milestones, resource schedules and reporting timelines. Monitor project progress and expenditure, including planned-versus-actual analysis, and coordinate corrective actions where necessary. Coordinate with funding agencies, industry partners, University administration, principal investigators, researchers, engineers, suppliers and collaborators. Prepare project status reports, progress updates and financial summaries for different stakeholder and governance requirements. Identify and mitigate project risks, manage issues proactively and upscale significant matters appropriately. Support grant administration and ensure compliance with funding agreements, funding agency guidelines and University policies.
Job Requirements: MSc and/or Degree in Engineering or Materials Science; a relevant postgraduate qualification would be advantageous. At least 6-8 years of project management experience, preferably in a research, academic or multi-stakeholder environment. CAPM or PMP training or certification, with active certification preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Project or equivalent tools such as Smartsheet, Primavera P6 or ProjectLibre, as well as Microsoft Office. Experience applying waterfall, agile or hybrid project management methodologies to research-driven projects. Strong stakeholder management, analytical, reporting and problem-solving capabilities. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin to communicate with suppliers, partners and stakeholders.
