Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead civil construction projects in Singapore. The role covers planning, execution, and delivery within time, budget, and quality targets.

You will oversee scheduling, budgeting, site supervision, and stakeholder coordination, ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards. A PMP is advantageous; 5+ years’ PM experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of PM experience in civil construction
• Proven track record from conception to completion
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering practices, construction methodologies and codes
• Proficiency with PM tools (MS Project/Primavera)
• Excellent budgeting and cost-control abilities
• Superior communication and stakeholder management
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex projects
• Knowledge of health and safety regs in construction
• PMP or similar qualification is advantageous

Responsibilities

About the role

As Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position plays a strategic role in our operations, directly contributing to our reputation for excellence in the construction industry.

What you'll be doing

1. Planning and scheduling civil construction projects, developing detailed project timelines and milestone frameworks
2. Managing project budgets, cost controls, and financial forecasting to ensure projects remain within allocated resources
3. Supervising site operations and coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain project progress
4. Conducting regular site inspections and quality audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards
5. Managing project documentation, permits, and regulatory compliance requirements throughout the project lifecycle
6. Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to provide regular project updates and manage expectations
7. Identifying and mitigating project risks, implementing corrective actions when necessary
8. Preparing project reports, including progress updates, variance analysis, and final project documentation
9. Ensuring health and safety protocols are maintained across all project sites in accordance with regulatory requirements
10. Leading and motivating project teams to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification
2. Minimum 5 years of project management experience in civil construction or related industries
3. Proven track record of successfully managing projects from conception through completion
4. Strong knowledge of civil engineering practices, construction methodologies, and building codes
5. Proficiency in project management software and tools (such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or equivalent)
6. Excellent budgeting and financial management capabilities with demonstrated cost control experience
7. Superior communication and stakeholder management skills
8. Strong problem-solving abilities and experience managing complex, multi-faceted projects
9. Knowledge of health and safety regulations specific to construction environments
10. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar recognised qualification is advantageous
11. Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or commercial construction projects preferred
