Job summary

Steel Tek in Singapore is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee construction and renovation projects from planning to close-out. You will coordinate with clients, consultants, architects and subcontractors while leading site teams and safeguarding timelines.

The role requires 5+ years in construction, strong knowledge of methods and safety practices, and excellent communication and leadership skills. Singapore-based, full-time position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction, renovation, building, civil engineering or related industries.
• Proven experience managing construction projects from planning through completion.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, project coordination and site management.
• Able to read and understand architectural, structural and M&E drawings.
• Good knowledge of project scheduling, cost control and contract administration.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Good leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD / project management software is an advantage.
• Able to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
• Relevant safety certifications or construction-related qualifications will be an advantage.
• Class 3 driving licence is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project costs, variations, procurement and overall budget.
• Attend project and site meetings and follow up on outstanding matters.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and completion of works.
• Identify project risks and resolve site and coordination issues.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety, quality and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Prepare progress reports and update management/client on project status.
• Oversee testing, inspection, rectification, handover and project close-out.
