Role Overview
The Project Manager, APAC is responsible for managing all key projects related to product launches, product changes and business development opportunities through to launch and post execution review. The Project Manager has primary responsibility of leading multi-functional teams to successfully execute projects of various complexity by defining, planning, tracking and managing the key project deliverables and providing direction required for meeting the project objectives. To review, reinvigorate and champion the Project Management processes and tools and establish high performance cross‑functional collaboration across the business.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of projects (of varying sizes and values) understanding not only the intricacies of each project but how they interact and where synergies lie.
- Champion the Stage Gate process and associated behaviours.
- Ensure appropriate key project documentation is prepared throughout project lifecycle (charters, business case, financial templates, etc.).
- Utilise PM tools to prepare, track, and report on the project plan/status.
- Scope overall activity plan execution and key project milestones.
- Create timelines for each project and drive deliverables to due dates.
- Identify project resource needs and work with SLT to ensure projects are properly supported.
- Lead cross‑functional team meetings to address issues, discuss status updates and action items, clearly communicate agenda, action items and status of projects.
- Manage effective relationships and communications with internal and external stakeholders ensuring the project is delivered to their satisfaction.
- Involve functional expertise to pull together the right information to help drive key project decisions.
- Work with cross‑functional team to analyse risk and identify contingency plans, escalating as required.
- Identify and raise potential conflicts within the project.
- Report issues to project sponsor to help resolve and remove barriers.
- Conduct Lessons Learned and report out key findings.
- Apply key learnings to management of future projects.
- Educate team cross‑functionally to improve project management skills across the business.
- Provide input to help continuously improve the effectiveness of project management within Church & Dwight.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, or a related field (preferred)
- Project Management Qualification
- 5+ years CPG industry experience (preferably in regulated FMCG or Pharma environment) within project management
- Have managed multiple cross‑functional projects
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively
