Job summary

TotalEnergies Marketing Asia Pacific Middle East Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Project Development and Management professional to support the sales team in deploying the Distributed Generation APAC model.

The role emphasizes HSE compliance, feasibility studies, and effective vendor coordination. You will conduct site assessments, coordinate with engineering and regulatory bodies, and help optimize commercial offers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in commercial/industrial project management, with 2+ years rooftop solar.
• Knowledge of Singapore electrical norms, renewable energy regulations, and construction codes.
• Engineering degree; related professional qualifications considered a plus.
• Experience with rooftop solar project specifications and commissioning checklists.
• Strong business acumen and ability to work independently.
• Renewable energy experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support sales in project development and implementation for APAC Distributed Generation.
• Estimate project costs and identify obstacles and risks.
• Conduct site assessments and contribute to PV system design per local regulations and specs.
• Coordinate with internal teams and regulatory bodies for smooth execution.

Job description

Project Development and Management

• To support the sales team in the project development and implementation of the Distributed Generation APAC business model, in accordance with the JV model and ensure that all activities are compliant with TRDG HSE and compliance standards.
• Estimate project costs and identify project obstacles and challenges
• Conduct Site assessments and complete accurate site assessment reports,assess technical constraints, evaluate project feasibility and potential risks,contributing to the PV System design in alignment with local regulations, TTE Technical specifications while always holding strong the TotalEnergies HSE mindset.
• Conduct meetings with clients and contractors to clarify and discuss technical matters.
• Coordinate with internal teams, local regulatory bodies, and other third-parties to ensure smooth project execution.
• Liaise with engineering resources to optimize the commercial offers in terms of PV system performance, technical solution costs, robustness and quality.
• Select and on-board contractors and suppliers including EPCs and engineering consultants, in full respect of HSE, Quality and compliance guidelines and specifications.
• Support commercial negotiations and maintain relationships with installers and suppliers.
• Coordinate with teams to effectively implement customer objectives and project plans.
• Document activities and communication, maintain entries in CRM (Salesforce) and other internal platforms. Plan, Report and achieving the set KPIs.

Project and Contractor Management

• Coordinate between sales, engineering and client to prepare the project for execution
• Prepare tender, evaluate proposals, present to team management for selection, handle contractual negotiations and completion with contractors
• Review method statement of execution from contractors and check compliance with Totalenergies rules and standards
• Prepare and follow-up local approvals and regulatory obligations
• Review all submitted documents from contractors as per Master Document List
• Site inspection, safety on site and quality assessment, budget control and schedule control
• Review on compliance of contractors on HSE and TOTALENERGIES values and rules
• Handle handover to operation team and client satisfaction
• The position will be based in Singapore and the scope of activities will extend to other areas of Singapore/Malaysia as necessary.
  

Requirement

• At least 3 years of relevant project management experience in a commercial/industrial environment with at least 2 years experience with rooftop solar projects.
• Working experience in Singapore electrical norms, renewable energy regulations, and construction codes.
• Degree in Engineering, Graduate degree and related professional qualifications considered a plus.
• Experience with maintaining minimum functional specification, commissioning checklists, and standard operating practices for rooftop solar projects.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of business operations.
• Experience in renewable energy; in particular solar and energy industry is an advantage.
• Proven track record in building, negotiating, and executing contracts.
• Proven ability to work independently and effectively.
