Job summary

Exentec Singapore Pte Ltd seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead electrical and mechanical (E&M) data center projects from inception to completion. You will oversee planning, execution, budgets, and schedules, while coordinating with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of data center project management experience, strong technical knowledge of power distribution, UPS, generators, cooling, HVAC, fire

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in data center or mission-critical facilities.
• Proven experience managing full project lifecycle: planning, budgeting, scheduling, closeout.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems (power distribution, UPS, gensets, cooling, HVAC, fire protection, BMS).
• Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, execution, control, and delivery of data center E&M projects.
• Manage schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.
• Prepare progress reports, proposals, technical docs, presentations, and stakeholder updates.
• Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and provide value engineering solutions.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Monitor risks and mitigation strategies; build relationships with stakeholders and teams.
• Mentor and lead project team members to foster accountability and continuous improvement.
• Support additional project and business initiatives as required.

Job Responsibilies:

• Lead the planning, coordination, execution, control, and successful delivery of Data Center electrical and mechanical projects.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Prepare project progress reports, proposals, technical documentation, presentations, and stakeholder updates.
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand requirements, provide technical expertise, and recommend value engineering solutions.
• Conduct technical reviews and ensure all project activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks and challenges, and implement effective mitigation strategies.Build strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to support seamless project execution.
• Mentor, coach, and lead project team members to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Support additional project and business initiatives as required.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in Data Center, mission-critical facilities, MEP/M&E construction, or related infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, budgeting, scheduling, and project closeout.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including power distribution, UPS, generators, cooling systems, HVAC, fire protection, and building management systems.
• Experience in coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
• Ability to develop and present technical proposals, progress reports, project documentation, and stakeholder presentations.
• Strong understanding of local building codes, safety regulations, industry standards, and quality management requirements.
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience mentoring, coaching, and managing project teams and subcontractors.
