Job summary

Exentec Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Construction Manager to lead site operations from planning through completion. You will ensure adherence to drawings, specifications and safety standards while coordinating resources and maintaining client relationships.

The role requires a 3–5 year background in construction, with preference for wafer-fab or related industries, and strong communication skills to interact with all staff levels.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering or related discipline.
• Other relevant certificates may be considered with appropriate training/experience.
• 3–5 years of construction industry experience; wafer-fab experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction activities and progress independently
• Read and understand drawings, specifications and requirements
• Identify and resolve drawing discrepancies with clients before site work begins
• Verify materials used meet approved specifications and certifications
• Conduct safety risk assessments and comply with safety regulations
• Plan and organize projects to meet cost, quality and schedule targets
• Monitor progress and performance of site staff and subcontractors
• Liaise with clients or client representatives to provide progress updates
• Plan resources and control materials, tools and equipment delivery

Join our dynamic team and play a key role in delivering successful construction projects from planning through completion. You will be responsible for managing site operations, ensuring quality and safety compliance, coordinating resources, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Job Responsibilites:

• Manage construction activities and progress independently
• Able to understand drawings, specifications and requirements
• Ensure all discrepancies in drawings must be identified and clear with clients prior to commence of site job
• Check that approved materials are used as per submitted approved and recorded specifications and certifications.
• Conduct safety risk assessment of work activities and comply to local or corporate safety regulations
• Plan, organize projects to ensure smooth execution of projects to achieve best in cost, quality and timelines
• Monitoring progress of the project, site staff and subcontractor performances and schedule
• Liaising with clients or the client’s representatives to update on the progress
• Carry out resources planning, and control of materials, tools and equipment ordered and delivered

Job Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma with background in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering or related discipline
• Other relevant certificates may be considered with the appropriate training/relevant experience
• 3 - 5 years of working experience in the construction industry, wafer-fab industry is highly considered
• Completed smaller projects from start to finish
• Experience in MEP Construction industry and relevant segment such as waferfab, semiconductor, life science, food and beverages, oil & gas, electrical or chemical industry
• Strong communication and written skills to interact with all levels of staff
• Being able to work under pressure, initiatives, problem solving skills
