Job summary

Talent Titans Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced project engineer to plan, coordinate and deliver green technology and decarbonisation projects across the full lifecycle.

The role involves overseeing system installation, training, commissioning, and continuous improvement, collaborating with Chief Engineers, ship managers, manufacturers and class societies, while ensuring compliance with EHS regulations and energy-saving technologies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and ensure timely delivery of green technology and decarbonisation projects.
• Oversee installation, training, evaluation, commissioning, and continuous improvement.
• Work with Chief Engineers, Ship Managers, equipment manufacturers, class societies and other technical parties throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical expertise on BWTS, scrubbers, EEXI, ESD, decarbonisation tech and regulatory requirements.
• Analyse technical challenges from new technologies and propose practical solutions and corrective measures.
• Develop detailed technical specifications and scopes for third-party contractors with clear QC criteria.
• Coordinate and supervise third-party engineering contractors involved in retrofit and exhaust gas treatment projects.
• Review structural calculations, loading, pressure drop, engineering drawings and related documentation.
• Address classification society comments and queries to support timely design approval.
• Review project scope, schedules, design information, client specs, drawings and other docs for alignment with requirements.
• Monitor external engineering firms to ensure deliverables meet technical, quality and project standards.
• Conduct technical due diligence and assessments of BWTS, exhaust gas treatment systems and decarbonisation solutions.
• Participate in 3D scanning, ballast water sampling, installation supervision, commissioning and post-project reviews.
• Contribute to annual project planning, resource allocation and budgeting as required.
• Monitor and manage project budgets, reviews with stakeholders to identify cost overruns, risks and deviations.
• Identify project risks proactively and implement measures to maintain performance, cost, quality and delivery timelines.
• Ensure safety, health, environmental and quality requirements are maintained across all project activities.

• Work closely with key stakeholders, including Chief Engineers, Ship Managers, equipment manufacturers, classification societies, and other technical parties throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical expertise on Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS), Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems (Scrubbers), EEXI, Energy Saving Devices (ESD), decarbonisation technologies, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Analyse technical challenges arising from the adoption of new technologies and recommend practical solutions and corrective measures.
• Develop detailed technical specifications and scopes of work for third-party contractors, including clear quality control and inspection criteria.
• Coordinate and supervise third-party engineering contractors involved in retrofit and exhaust gas treatment projects.
• Review and assess structural calculations, loading assessments, pressure drop and friction loss calculations, engineering drawings, and related technical documentation.
• Address and respond to classification society comments and technical queries to support timely design approval.
• Review project scope, schedules, design information, client specifications, engineering drawings, layouts, and other project documentation to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Monitor and manage external engineering firms to ensure that project deliverables meet the required technical, quality, and project standards.
