Job summary

Tecnoprism Pvt Ltd is seeking a seasoned WMS Project Manager to lead IT workstreams for new WMS implementations and migrations. The role requires close collaboration with the Business PM and client teams to ensure successful delivery across multiple go-lives in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will be based in Singapore, regularly onsite, and capable of managing complex, high-demand projects with frequent changes and travel between client sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT workstreams across WMS implementations for new customers.
• Define scope with Business PM, Customer, and Operations.
• Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery per project objectives.
• Produce status reports and participate in steering committee meetings.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Coordinate cutover, go-live and hyper-care activities.
• Manage interdependencies and drive timely deliverables.

Job description

This role is to project manage the IT workstreams within WMS (Warehouse Management System) implementations for new customers or for legacy WMS migrations, while collaborating closely with the Business PM.

Key Accountabilities

• Adhere to nominated project implementation methodologies and governance practices utilizing approved tools and document formats across all projects.
• Instrumental in defining project scope in collaboration with the Business PM, Customer, Operations and Business at the commencement of the project.
• Lead and drive project IT related project activities, ensuring project objectives are accomplished, on time and on budget in line with business objectives
• Prepare project communications such as status reports and participate in project steering committee meetings
• Proactively anticipate and manage project risks and issues and implement timely mitigation plans
• Plan in collaboration with relevant resources, cutover, Go-live and hyper care related activities
• Scope and procure required resources to execute define project scope
• Develop a clear understanding of task interdependencies and proactively follow-up on deliverables to ensure timely completion of project tasks.

Candidate Requirement

The Client Stakeholder is looking for a seasoned, decisive, customer-facing WMS Project Manager in Singapore who has independently led complex implementations, can manage multiple go-lives, and is confident enough to control a demanding customer and a rapidly changing project.

What the Client Stakeholder is specifically looking for

• Must be based in Singapore and regularly work onsite.
• Must be able to travel between:
• Customer’s manufacturing site in Woodlands
• Client warehouse in Jurong
• Client office in Changi
• Work from home very occasionally
• Having a car or reliable personal transportation is strongly preferred because travel between these locations by public transport may be difficult and time-consuming.
• Large and unusually complex
• Very fast-paced
• For a highly demanding customer
• Subject to frequent changes and unexpected issues
• Planned to have multiple go-lives, including major go-lives around November and April
• Expected to continue through approximately April or May 2027

Candidate Profile

The candidate must:

• Have personally led and driven WMS implementation projects.
• Be capable of making quick decisions when circumstances change.
• Manage multiple workstreams, testing issues, dependencies, risks and changing requirements.
• Be comfortable sitting alongside the customer’s Project Manager and managing issues in real time.
• Direct the Client project team and establish expectations with the customer’s team.
• Be assertive enough to challenge and push back on the customer professionally.
• Clearly explain delays, defend the project team and present a recovery plan.
• Have a strong, confident and dynamic personality.
• Communicate clear, quickly and directly.
• Provide precise, targeted answers instead of long or indirect responses.
• Remain composed when dealing with pressure, confrontation and unexpected problems.
• Demonstrate strong customer-facing leadership, not just project coordination.
