Job summary

QUAN MEI DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD in Singapore seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead interior fit-out and construction projects, coordinating planning, client liaison, subcontractor supervision, inspections and documentation to ensure timely, compliant delivery.

The role requires 5–8 years’ relevant experience, knowledge of local codes, and strong communication and teamwork to manage multi-disciplinary teams and ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Building, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in interior fit-out, design & build, or construction project management.
• Knowledge of local codes, building regulations, and authority submission processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multiple interior fit-out and construction projects by managing planning, client and consultant liaison, subcontractor supervision, inspections, and documentation to ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality project delivery.
• Implement project planning and provide clear direction to ensure progress aligns with schedules
• Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines and quality standards
• Collaborate with drafting departments to prepare, submit, and secure approval for shop and as-built drawings
• Liaise with client representatives to address site matters and participate in site meetings as needed
• Organize subcontractors to conduct surveys and execute all stages of work efficiently
• Prepare detailed work schedules, supervise project activities, and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Assist in preparing tender documentation and pricing to support project acquisition
• Manage final inspections, testing, commissioning, and defect rectifications to ensure project completion
• Prepare handover documentation including as-built drawings, warranties, and operation & maintenance manuals
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify improvements for future project delivery

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in commercial, retail, F&B, hospitality, or office fit-out projects
• Familiarity with BCA, SCDF, NEA, PUB, URA requirements
• WSQ "Apply Workplace Safety and Health in Construction Sites" certification (formerly CSOC)
• Strong communication skills
• Team player with problem-solving and client management skills
