Job summary

Optimum Solutions (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Banking Project Manager with 15+ years in project management within banking, financial or consulting sectors. You will lead end-to-end delivery, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate large cross-functional teams across banking domains including Wholesale Banking, Payments, and API integrations.

You will engage senior stakeholders, drive risk management, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining governance and quality standards

Qualifications

• 15+ years in project management in banking/financial/consulting.
• 10+ years in project planning, forecasting and budgeting for large banking projects.
• 5+ years recent experience in Wholesale Banking or Payments/Swift/Cash Management.
• PMP/Prince2/Agile certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end overall project management.
• Track quality, scope, timeline, effort and resources.
• Develop and execute the project plan and analyse proposals impacting schedule and budget.
• Identify and schedule deliverables, milestones and tasks.
• Stakeholder management with Business Project Managers; manage escalation, expectations and conflicts.
• Scope management: review changes and ensure PSC approvals.
• Project governance: prepare investment deck and manage PSC/PWC meetings.

Job description

• Role: Senior Banking Project Manager
• At least 15+ years experience in project management in banking, financial, consulting industries with proven track record.
• 10+ years working experience in Project Management, Project Planning, Forecasting, Budgeting, and managed large multiple projects in banking or financial industry.
• Must have 5+ years recent working experience in Wholesale Banking OR Payment, Swift, Cash Management within banking or financial industry.
• Good problem solver and stay on top of the project risks and issues till closure.
• Good to have API knowledge and experience.
• Good team player and is able to exercise formal and informal ways to lead the vertical teams in achieving the common project targets.
• Excellent presentation skills and able to front with the senior stakeholders at C level.
• Passionate, diligent, and resilient individual with ability if thrive in ambiguity.
• Previous exposure to Channels & APIs including internet banking, mobile, API and H2H knowledge will be advantages.
• Good to have PMP, Prince2, Agile certification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overall Project Management end-to-end
• Responsible and track the quality, scope, timeline, effort (co-related to estimation, CR’s, complexity), resources (includes GTO, business, contractor, Professional Services resources as well as operations),
• Develop and execute the overall project plan and analyse project proposals which impacts the schedule and budget variance which in turn contribute to meeting the overall objectives of the project.
• Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones and required activities and tasks.
• Stakeholder Management: Work hand in hand with Business Project Managers to manage project stakeholders and relationships - e.g. escalation, expectation, conflict, scope changes, etc. Ensure teams work in a collaborative environment
• Scope Management: Manage all changes to the agreed scope of work Review and assess all changes and impact to timeline and ensure all changes are approved by PSC
• Project Governance: Prepare investment approval deck and manage approval of project by ITC/TPWC. Organize and facilitate PSC meetings, chair PWC meetings.
