Job summary

PEOPLE PROFILERS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a proactive Project Support Engineer to assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating and executing marine and offshore engineering projects to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.

You will review specifications, coordinate with clients and vendors, support tendering, and help manage offshore mobilization, FATs and documentation while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering, preferably Naval Architecture, Marine or Mechanical.
• At least 3 years in marine, offshore or Oil & Gas.
• Familiar with offshore operations, steel structures and lifting equipment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and IACS standards (ABS, DNV).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Primavera P6 and MS Office.
• Willing to travel overseas and work offshore as required.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project tendering activities, including technical reviews, vendor sourcing, cost estimation, scheduling and documentation.
• Review project specifications, contractual requirements and technical documentation for client compliance.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors and internal teams on technical matters and resource allocation.
• Evaluate vendor proposals, equipment specifications and project costs for procurement decisions.
• Prepare technical clarifications and respond to client enquiries throughout the project lifecycle.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise mobilisation, offshore activities, installation and execution.
• Monitor progress and implement corrective actions to meet project objectives.
• Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to ensure equipment meets specs and quality.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including reports and drawings.
• Ensure activities comply with quality, safety standards and offshore regulations.

About the role

Support the Project Manager in the planning, coordination and execution of marine and offshore engineering projects to ensure timely and successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in project tendering activities, including technical reviews, vendor sourcing, cost estimation, project scheduling and preparation of engineering drawings and documentation
• Review project specifications, contractual requirements and technical documentation to ensure compliance with client requirements and relevant industry standards
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors and internal departments on technical matters, project requirements and resource allocation
• Evaluate vendor proposals, equipment specifications and project costs to support procurement and technical decision‑making
• Prepare technical clarifications and respond to client enquiries throughout the project lifecycle
• Plan, coordinate and supervise project mobilisation, offshore activities, equipment installation and project execution
• Monitor project progress, identify potential technical or operational issues and implement corrective actions to ensure project objectives are achieved
• Coordinate and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to ensure equipment meets technical specifications and quality requirements
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including technical reports, procedures, schedules and as-built drawings
• Ensure project activities comply with relevant quality management systems, safety regulations and offshore industry standards

About you

• Minimum Diploma in Engineering, preferably in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in the marine, offshore or Oil & Gas industry, preferably with exposure to offshore construction projects
• Familiarity with offshore operations , steel structures, winches, cranes, lifting equipment and hazardous-area (zone-rated) applications
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and relevant engineering quality standards
• Familiarity with International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) requirements, particularly ABS and DNV rules and regulations applicable to offshore projects
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Microsoft Project
• Knowledge of Primavera P6
• Willing to travel overseas and work offshore when required
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in written and spoken English
• Strong problem‑solving, planning and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple project requirements
