Job summary

YIJIA ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Project Engineer to support M&E installation projects in Singapore, including semiconductor and cleanroom construction.

The role involves coordinating M&E installation works, reviewing drawings and technical documents, and liaising with project managers, contractors and clients to ensure on-time delivery and quality and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• Able to work at construction sites and follow project schedules.
• Willing to work overtime, night shifts, or weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate M&E installation works including piping, ducting, equipment, and supports.
• Review construction drawings, shop drawings and technical documents.
• Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, clients, main contractors and subcontractors.
• Monitor site progress, manpower, materials, quality and safety compliance.
• Identify drawing discrepancies, site clashes and installation issues.
• Prepare progress updates, site records and as-built information.
• Assist with material planning, work scheduling and project documentation.
• Perform other project-related duties as assigned.

Project Engineer (M&E Construction / CAD & Site Coordination) Multiple Positions Available

YIJIA ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is looking for Project Engineers to support our M&E installation projects in Singapore, including semiconductor and cleanroom construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate M&E installation works, including piping, ducting, equipment and supporting structures.

• Review construction drawings, shop drawings and technical documents.

• Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, clients, main contractors and subcontractors.

• Monitor site progress, manpower, materials, quality and safety requirements.

• Identify drawing discrepancies, site clashes and installation issues.

• Prepare progress updates, site records and as-built information.

• Assist with material planning, work scheduling and project documentation.

• Perform other project-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Candidates should meet at least one of the following criteria:

• Proficient in reading, reviewing or preparing engineering and AutoCAD drawings; or

• Possess practical experience in M&E construction, site installation, supervision or project coordination.

Additional requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.

• Able and willing to work at construction sites and follow project working hours.

• Able to work overtime, at night or on weekends when required by the project schedule.

• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

• Able to communicate in English to coordinate with Mandarin-speaking workers and review bilingual project documents.

• Experience in semiconductor, cleanroom, piping, HVAC or ductwork projects will be an advantage.

Salary and position level will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
