Job summary

BHD CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD is seeking a Project Engineer to join our civil and structural teams in Singapore. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan, coordinate, and execute construction projects while overseeing day-to-day site operations and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and timelines.

The role requires a degree in civil or structural engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
• Experience in construction lateral engineering projects is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and lead cross-functional projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and engineering principles.
• Familiarity with local regulations and safety standards in construction.

What you'll be doing

3. Analyse technical drawings, specifications, and engineering data to identify and resolve potential challenges

4. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities to facilitate effective project delivery

5. Monitor project progress, manage resources, and implement corrective measures as needed

6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of construction processes and practices

7. Provide technical support and mentor junior team members

What we’re looking for

1. Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field

2. Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar project engineering role within the construction industry

3. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and engineering principles

4. Proficient in project management tools and software, such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Project

5. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills

6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead cross-functional projects

7. Familiarity with local regulations and safety standards in the construction sector
