Job summary

ANSON METAL WORKS PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to coordinate and manage structural steel projects from planning through fabrication, delivery and site installation, ensuring adherence to drawings, specifications and schedules.

You will liaise with clients, main contractors, consultants and suppliers, review structural drawings, coordinate procurement and fabrication, monitor progress and prepare documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Min 3 years of experience in construction or structural steel projects.
• Ability to read structural drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Independent and team-oriented with proactive attitude.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor structural steel projects from planning to delivery and site installation.
• Review structural drawings, shop drawings, specifications and project requirements.

• Coordinate material procurement, fabrication schedules, deliveries and site installation.
• Monitor progress and coordinate timely solutions to issues.
• Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with drawings, quality and safety standards.

• Assist in quantity take-offs, material planning and variation works.
• Perform other project-related duties as assigned.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor structural steel projects from planning and fabrication to delivery and site installation.
• Review structural drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications and project requirements.
• Liaise with clients, main contractors, consultants, suppliers and site personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
• Coordinate material procurement, fabrication schedules, deliveries and site installation activities.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues and coordinate timely solutions.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, progress reports, material submissions and other relevant records.
• Assist in quantity take-offs, material planning, cost monitoring and variation works.
• Perform other project-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in construction or structural steel projects is a MUST, min 3 years.
• Able to read and understand structural drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Responsible, proactive and able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications and a strong willingness to learn may also apply.
