Job summary

NC CONTRACTOR PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a civil/structural engineer to lead building construction scopes, ensuring compliance with drawings and specs.

You will study tender documents, plan schedules with Microsoft Project, perform site inspections, liaise with consultants and authorities, guide supervisors, resolve technical queries, and prepare progress reports, handover documents, and method statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil/Structural engineering or equivalent.
• Civil/Architectural/Steel Structures experience required.
• Minimum 5 years in related field.
• Proficiency in Autocad, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project.
• Saturday work availability.

Responsibilities

• Study tender drawings, specifications, and contracts to understand project requirements.
• Plan and schedule work sequences; prepare Microsoft Project for all tasks and micro-schedules.
• Perform site inspections; ensure work aligns with project specs and authority requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, main contractors, other contractors, and authorities.
• Guide supervisors to ensure progress according to schedule and timeline.
• Ensure project execution follows micro-schedule; resolve engineering and technical queries.
• Prepare reports, method statements, progress reports, handover reports, and meeting minutes.

Job description

Responsible for civil and steel structures scopes for building construction works.

• Study tender / construction drawings, specifications, contracts scope of works to understand project requirements.
• Plan, schedule work sequences, prepare Microsoft Project for all task and micro-schedule form throughout the project.
• Perform site inspection and ensure that the work is carried out based on the project specification and construction drawing, consultant, and authority requirement.
• Liaise and coordinate with consultants, client, main contractor, other contractor and authority.
• Provide guidance to supervisors in relation to construction works, ensure progress according to schedule.
• Ensure project is executed according to micro-schedule and timeline.
• Resolve all engineering, technical and project queries from time to time.
• Prepare a report and method statement whenever necessary.
• Prepare progress report, handover report, meeting minutes, TOP/CSC documentation, and other requirement request by client and authority.
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned related to project

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Civil / Structural or equivalent.
• Candidate must possesses Civil, Architectural, Steel Structures and/or related experience.
• At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Required Skill(s): Autocad, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project.
• Able to work on Saturday.
