Job summary

Santarli Construction Pte Ltd is seeking a senior civil engineering professional to lead building project delivery as Project Director. The role requires a recognized Civil Engineering degree and extensive post-graduation experience.

The incumbent will advise Project Managers, oversee payments to suppliers and subcontractors, ensure adequate resources, and address complex project issues while managing staffing, risk, and safety across site operations.

Qualifications

• Recognized degree in Civil Engineering.
• Twenty years of post-graduation relevant experience.
• At least five years as Project Director in building projects.

Responsibilities

• Advise and guide Project Managers.
• Monitor and certify payments to suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Ensure sufficient resources for the project team in terms of organisation structure, staffing, financing and machinery.
• Resolve any issues that the Project Manager cannot resolve.
• Determine staffing and suitability of key personnel (Project Manager and Deputy Project Manager).
• Provide technical and engineering support to Project Managers.
• Identify and assess foreseeable risks arising from workplace or work processes.
• Take reasonably practical measures to eliminate any foreseeable risk to any person at the workplace.
• Ensure safe work procedures are implemented to control risks.
• Represent the Organisation on important project issues.
• Attend project meetings with clients and consultants.

Education

Degree in Civil Engineering
