Job summary

The Project Director for ACMV firm oversees leadership, planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and compliant with quality and safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading large EPC/MEP projects.

Job Summary

The Project Director is responsible for the overallleadership, planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects. The roleoversees project strategy, financial performance, stakeholder management, andoperational execution to ensure the project is delivered on time, withinbudget, and in accordance with contractual, quality, and safety requirements.

The Project Director provides strategic direction to theproject management team and serves as the key liaison between seniormanagement, clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Management
  • Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the execution of the subcontract works.
  • Lead and oversee Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, and site teams.
  • Ensure effective coordination between engineering, procurement, construction, and administrative teams.
  • Establish project execution plans, resource strategies, and operational priorities.
Project Planning & Execution
  • Oversee project scheduling, work sequencing, and manpower deployment.
  • Ensure engineering works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
  • Monitor project milestones and progress against the master programme set by the Main Contractor.
  • Resolve technical, operational, and coordination issues to avoid delays and disruptions.
Contract & Commercial Management
  • Manage all subcontract contractual obligations with the Main Contractor.
  • Oversee project costing, budgeting, and financial performance.
  • Review and manage variation orders, claims, and contractual negotiations.
  • Ensure timely submission of progress claims, documentation, and project deliverables.
  • Monitor project profitability and implement cost control measures.
Stakeholder Coordination
  • Act as the key point of contact with the Main Contractor, Consultants, Clients, and Authorities.
  • Attend project coordination meetings and represent the company in project discussions.
  • Ensure smooth coordination with other trades and subcontractors to avoid site conflicts.
Engineering & Technical Oversight
  • Provide technical guidance to project engineers and site teams.
  • Ensure engineering solutions are practical, cost-effective, and compliant with project specifications.
  • Review engineering submissions, shop drawings, and technical proposals when required.
Risk, Quality & Safety Management
  • Ensure compliance with project quality assurance (QA/QC) requirements and company standards.
  • Promote and enforce strict adherence to workplace safety regulations and site safety practices.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
Team Leadership & Resource Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project management and engineering teams.
  • Ensure proper manpower planning and deployment across the project lifecycle.
  • Foster collaboration and strong communication within the project team and across departments.
