HDR CONSULTING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Project Accountant to own financial reporting across a diverse portfolio of projects, partnering with Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

You will manage project finances, revenue recognition, billing, AR, and support budgeting and audits, while upholding HDR's values and collaborating with leadership to drive business decisions.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in accounting or related discipline.
• Previous experience in project accounting.
• Experience in engineering or construction industries is advantageous.

The Role

To help drive the continued success, HDR is seeking a Project Accountant to work in close partnership with our Project Managers. In this role you will take ownership of financial reporting across a diverse portfolio of projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage project financials by following HDR's project methodology and systems
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers to track revenue, costs, and project risks
• Lead monthly revenue recognition and billing processes to ensure accurate and timely invoicing
• Monitor accounts receivable and escalat payment issues as needed
• Actively participat in project meetings including monthly reviews and close-outs
• Support budgeting and audit activities with detailed financial analysis and reporting
• Provide insightful financial data and reporting to leadership to support business decisions
• Uphold HDR's values and commitment to workplace safety
• Support the Regional Accounting Director and Singapore Leadership as required.

About You

• Tertiary qualifications in accounting or related discipline
• Previous experience in project accounting
• Previous experience working in the Engineering or Construction industry - highly advantageous.
• Confident in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including strong skills within Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proactive, motivated and dedicated.
• Ability to work under pressure with a solutions-focused attitude.

Skills & Experience

• Previously experience of working with accounting systems and ERP, ideally EBS and Oracle.
• Competency in MS Office, specifically Excel
• Experience in dealing with projects in different currencies.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Strong understanding of processes and ability to work within a framework to make things happen.
• Analytic with strong academic background
• Proven experience of working in a finance role, ideally with project accounting experience
• Structured and organised in their approach and able to manage projects.
• Must be a team player, willing to step into the wider team roles when required.
• A good communicator and collaborate effectively with a broad range of non -financial staff.
• Able to work comfortably in an agile environment with the ability to make rapid decisions in a fast-moving company.
