Job summary

ACCADEMIES AUSTRALASIA COLLEGE PTE. LIMITED is seeking a Programme Leader cum Teacher for Preparatory Programmes who can guide a team, oversee delivery, and contribute to students' academic and personal growth.

This role combines leadership with classroom teaching and requires coordinating with lecturers, exams, and curriculum development. You will teach at least 12 hours weekly (English/Maths), mentor at-risk students, support assessment processes, and help recruit and develop teaching staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field is required.
• Proven leadership experience in an educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development and instructional methods.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with lecturers/teachers and exams regarding programme delivery and assessments.
• Conduct academic counselling and support for at-risk students.
• Assist in curriculum development, staff recruitment and partnership management.
• Manage teaching allocations and ensure full-capacity utilisation.
• Lead periodic meetings, staff guidance, and process improvements.

We are seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join our institution as a Programme Leader cum Teacher for Preparatory Programmes. Responsibilities:

• Liaise with lecturers/teachers regarding delivery of the programme through half-yearly teaching observations
• Liaise with lecturers/teachers and the Exams department regarding the conduct, marking & moderations of course assessments in preparation for pre-exam board meetings
• Conduct academic counselling for at-risk students who fail to improve after initial counselling by their respective lecturers/teachers
• Dissemination of relevant information to teachers and students (maybe through parents and/or guardians)
• Optimal management of academic resources through teaching allocations by ensuring that full-time lecturers are deployed to full capacity
• Teaches at least 12 hours per week (English/Maths)
• Follow up with lecturers/teachers regarding their work plan targets, module reviews, lesson plans, weekly updates per the activity calendar
• Supporting the Examination and Academic Board functions when necessary
• Carry out streaming of classes (if any) as and when required
• Undertake general administrative and office duties
• Advise and assist lecturers/teachers in terms of staff suggestions, student activities and new processes to improve productivity
• Achieve work plan targets as agreed
• Conduct periodic meetings with lecturers/teachers
• Assist in handling the students’ complaints related to teaching and delivery of lessons
• Assist in curriculum development and review
• Assist in recruitment and selection of lecturers
• Assist in the management of collaborative partnership/s
• Undertake other duties that may be assigned from time to time

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Proven experience as a teacher, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of educational principles, curriculum development, and instructional methodologies.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail.
• A passion for fostering student success and a commitment to providing a supportive learning environment.
• Proficiency in technology and the ability to integrate it into teaching and program management.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the institution and its students.
