Job summary

Newtone Consulting in Singapore is seeking a Day 2 Software Engineer specialized in Node.js and React to join our on-site team. This full-time role focuses on production support, incident troubleshooting, and ensuring application availability in a 24/7 environment.

You will collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to investigate issues across apps, APIs, microservices, and data stores, and to validate deployments and post-release changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3–5 years of software engineering, application or production support experience.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js, React, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB, and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Provide Day 2 / production application support, troubleshooting incidents and root cause analysis.
• Perform end-to-end troubleshooting across applications, infrastructure, databases, and integrations.
• Support applications running in containerized microservices environments.
• Investigate issues involving APIs, messaging, system integrations, and microservices.
• Support deployments, configuration changes, and post-release validation.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, DevOps, and support teams to resolve production issues.
• Provide technical support to customers and stakeholders.
• Participate in 24/7 standby support and after-hours production activities.
