Job summary

PEOPLE PROFILERS PTE. LTD. seeks a proactive Shift Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team in Singapore. You will ensure timely production plans, maintain workmanship standards, and drive improvements across Lean/Kaizen initiatives.

Responsibilities include resource planning, scheduling, and cross-shift coordination to deliver seamless handovers. A strong engineering background and supervisory experience are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a technical environment within capital equipment, aviation, or manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience managing a skilled technician workforce.
• Hands-on experience with equipment manufacturing, including mechanical/electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts (4/3/4/3).
• Proven experience implementing Lean/Kaizen or other CI projects.
• Experience in semiconductor or high-tech capital equipment manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the manufacturing team to ensure timely production plan completion while improving workmanship.
• Schedule resources, monitor progress, and proactively resolve production issues.
• Report shift status and key updates to the Senior Manager.
• Lead shift discipline, planning, and day-to-day operations as a key personnel.
• Oversee recruitment, performance appraisals, and training aligned to shift needs.
• Lead or participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects (Kaizen, 5S, waste reduction).
• Coordinate with other Shift Supervisors to ensure smooth handovers.

• Report shift production status and key updates to the Senior Manager.
• Act as a key personnel in independently leading team discipline, shift planning, and day-to-day operations.
• Oversee team recruitment, performance appraisals, and ensure skills training is aligned with current and future shift requirements.
• Lead or participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, waste reduction).
• Coordinate effectively with other Shift Supervisors to ensure smooth and well-communicated production handovers.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's in Engineering related studies.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical environment within the capital equipment, or aviation or manufacturing industries.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience managing a highly skilled technician workforce
• Practical, hands-on experience in equipment manufacturing, including mechanical/electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Willing and able to work on an 12 hours rotating (4/3/4/3) shift schedule
• Proven experience in implementing Lean/Kaizen or other continuous improvement projects.
• Demonstrated capability in resource planning and team management.
• Experience in semiconductor or high-tech capital equipment manufacturing.
