Job summary

Murata Electronics Singapore (Pte.) Ltd. in Singapore is seeking an Input Planner to drive chip and taping planning aligned with the sales plan, ensuring sufficient supply and timely material flow.

You will collaborate with HQ planning, MES production, procurement, and process engineering to optimize production and inventory, while building relationships with stakeholders to mitigate risks. The role requires Excel, SQL and Power BI skills; Python and VBA are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or equivalent.

• Programming knowledge in Python and VBA is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute production plan and daily input scheduling to meet customer requirements.
• Simulate and adjust 4M (Man/Machine/Material/Method) with stakeholders and monitor progress.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and production to ensure timely material supply.
• Maintain stock levels and align inbound deliveries with FCST.
• Improve resources availability to minimize stoppages and ensure continuity.
• Maintain production control system for smooth operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: Production Control

Report to: Supervisor

Functional Relationships with:

HQ planning, MES production, Procurement, Process Engineering, Quality Control and Business Engineering members

POSITION PROFILE:

Based in: Singapore

Job site: Yishun

The successful candidate will take charge of (with focus but not limited) chip and taping planning in accordance with sales plan to ensure sufficient supply. Due to the uncertainty of the demand changes, he/she is required to build relationship with the production and related stakeholders, analyse the risk and take timely measures to minimize the impact on output and sales.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for managing and execution of production plan and daily input scheduling to fulfil customer requirement.
• As an Input planner, He/she should simulate / adjust and prepare 4M (Man/Machine/Material/Method) with stakeholder in advance, manage progress of plan and analyse production index to optimize production and inventory control.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and production division to prepare necessary resources and/or ensure supply of material on time
• Control input & output to have optimum stock level and satisfy customer delivery request and / or ensure incoming delivery schedule with supplier based on submitted FCST.
• Monitor and manage appropriate resources availability improvement to prevent stoppage or minimal interruption to production schedule and capability up to ensure production continuity.
• Maintain production control system to have smooth & efficient operation.
• Identify problems and opportunities for business process improvement solution.
• Work in a customer-driven and service-oriented environment.

ABILITY/COMPETENCY REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, or equivalent ability. No experience is required.
• Proficient in Excel, SQL query and PBI.
• Programming knowledge in Python, VBA and digital tools in supply chain management will be advantageous.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Able to work well as a team player while being independent and pro-active.
