Manage daily operations of food production lines.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement production schedules and processes.
- Ensure efficient use of resources and timely delivery of products.
- Enforce food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
- Monitor quality control procedures and product specifications.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and government regulations.
- Hire, train, and supervise production staff.
- Assign tasks based on skills and workload.
- Motivate teams to meet production targets.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with R&D to develop new products or enhance existing ones.
- Conduct risk assessments and forecasts for production planning.
- Maintain inventory of raw materials and finished goods.
- Oversee maintenance and repair of production equipment.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for all materials.
- Prepare reports on production metrics and performance.
- Coordinate with procurement and sales teams.
- Participate in strategic planning and product launches.
Job Requirements
- Education: Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications: Certifications in HACCP, GMP, or food safety are highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in food production or manufacturing management. Proven track record in leading teams and managing production lines.
- Skills: Strong leadership and decision-making abilities. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance practices.
