Production Engineer (DevOps / SRE)

Job summary

Ambition, a leading global hedge fund partner, is seeking a Production Engineer to join their Singapore team. The role focuses on solving production challenges, automating manual processes, and improving the reliability of business-critical systems.

You will develop automation and CI/CD pipelines, strengthen system observability, and provide EUC support across the region. The position involves rotating early shifts and collaboration with engineering and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in Production Engineering, SRE, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Production Support.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred, but any modern language is welcome), with experience building automation or internal tools.
• Hands-on experience supporting production environments, troubleshooting incidents, and improving system reliability.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, LGTM stack) to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability of production systems.
• Strong DevOps and CI/CD tooling and release automation experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset, continuously seeking opportunities to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language.
• Experience within financial services, investment banking, or trading environments is highly regarded.
• Comfortable participating in a rotating early-shift support schedule (approximately one week per month).
