Job summary

Nutek Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to develop 3D models and 2D drawings with GD&T, coordinate with procurement and external suppliers, and ensure components meet OEM quality and manufacturing standards.

You will work across design, manufacturing, supplier coordination, and production teams to validate designs, support assemblies, and update technical documentation. Diploma holders with CAD/SolidWorks proficiency encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Industrial Engineering.
• Proficient in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks; able to generate 3D parts and assemblies.
• Independent and self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills for mentoring production staff.

Responsibilities

• Raise PRs and WOs for in-house or external metal fabrication and machining services.
• Prepare detailed 3D models for components and assemblies to support assembly and manufacturing processes.
• Prepare accurate 2D engineering drawings with GD&T for metal fabrication and machining.
• Work with Procurement to evaluate external component suppliers for OEM quality and specs.
• Collaborate with Production to review designs for manufacturability and OEM compliance.
• Provide technical support to suppliers and production on drawings and fabrication requirements.
• Review fabricated components for dimensional accuracy against drawings and specs.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement engineering requirements in manufacturing.
• Maintain and update engineering drawings, 3D models, specs, and docs.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing 3D models and 2D engineering drawings with GD&T, coordinating with Procurement and external suppliers, and working closely with Production to ensure components and finished products meet the required OEM quality, technical, and manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

• Raise Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Work Orders (WO) for in-house or external metal fabrication and machining services.

• Prepare detailed 3D models for components and assemblies to support the assembly and manufacturing processes.

• Prepare accurate 2D engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), for metal fabrication and machining processes.

• Work closely with the Procurement team to evaluate and validate external component suppliers, ensuring they are capable of meeting the OEM’s required quality, technical specifications, and standards.

• Collaborate with the Production team to review and validate product designs, manufacturability, and assembly processes to ensure compliance with OEM quality and performance requirements.

• Provide technical support and clarification to suppliers and production teams on engineering drawings, specifications, and fabrication requirements.

• Review fabricated and machined components to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure engineering requirements are clearly communicated and implemented throughout the manufacturing process.

• Maintain and update engineering drawings, 3D models, specifications, and other relevant technical documentation.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical/ Mechatronics/ Industrial Engineering

• Proficient in CAD software, preferably in SolidWorks, able to generate parts in 3D models/assemblies

• Independent, can work under minimum supervision.

• Good communication skills to perform mentoring and coaching to production staff.

• Good knowledge of problem-solving methodology.

• On-the-job training will be provided.
