Raise Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Work Orders (WO) for in-house or external metal fabrication and machining services.
Prepare detailed 3D models for components and assemblies to support the assembly and manufacturing processes.
Prepare accurate 2D engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), for metal fabrication and machining processes.
Work closely with the Procurement team to evaluate and validate external component suppliers, ensuring they are capable of meeting the OEM’s required quality, technical specifications, and standards.
Collaborate with the Production team to review and validate product designs, manufacturability, and assembly processes to ensure compliance with OEM quality and performance requirements.
Provide technical support and clarification to suppliers and production teams on engineering drawings, specifications, and fabrication requirements.
Review fabricated and machined components to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure engineering requirements are clearly communicated and implemented throughout the manufacturing process.
Maintain and update engineering drawings, 3D models, specifications, and other relevant technical documentation.
Diploma in Mechanical/ Mechatronics/ Industrial Engineering
Proficient in CAD software, preferably in SolidWorks, able to generate parts in 3D models/assemblies
Independent, can work under minimum supervision.
Good communication skills to perform mentoring and coaching to production staff.
Good knowledge of problem-solving methodology.
On-the-job training will be provided.
