Job summary

Dyson Singapore is seeking a Product Technician to join our Advanced Manufacturing facility in Pioneer. You’ll support automated manufacturing lines, perform process capability studies, and help improve productivity and quality.

Role requires a diploma in Mechatronics/Mechanical/Electrical engineering and at least 3 years in an automated line environment. You’ll troubleshoot issues, support NPI builds, and write procedures while maintaining 5S in labs.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in an automated line environment and a relevant diploma.
• Basic knowledge of machine and equipment components in automated lines.
• Ability to troubleshoot processes and products per established procedures.
• Ability to distinguish wires, signals, indicators, or labels for safe duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist in DOE and GR&R studies to improve productivity and quality.
• Use data analysis software to identify root causes of issues.
• Assist in product failure analysis and root-cause finding.
• Assist in executing control builds for New Product Introduction.
• Write procedures for new processes and ensure 5S in labs.

• Participate in line variant conversions, setup, and patrols.

Dyson Singapore is currently looking for a Product Technician to be based in our Singapore Advanced Manufacturing facility located in Pioneer to support our automated manufacturing lines.

About the role

• Assist in Engineering evaluations in conduct in-depth process capability studies for Productivity and Quality improvement using DOE and GR&R.
• Using Data analysis software to identify the root cause of the issues.
• Assist in Product Failure Analysis and Root Cause Finding.
• Assist in executing control build from requirement of New Product Introduction, New Component.
• Introduction and improvement project.
• Provide engineering & technical support to operations team to improve overall quality and yield and work with functional groups to resolve rejects & scrap.
• Write documents on procedures for new processes.
• Practice good 5S in engineering labs.
• Provide technical support to production operation in meeting output & quality.
• Provide first level trouble shooting & resolve production stoppages due to process & product issues.
• Participate in line variant conversion/set-up and line patrol activities.
• Production Line reject, verify and disposition.
• To control and maintain the scrap according to Scrap Control Escalation Procedure/ OCAP.
• Assist in engineering evaluations, control run, change control, root cause analysis, line improvement Project and data gathering/ compilation.

About you

• At least 3 years of work experience in an automated line environment. ITC or Diploma in Mechatronic/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering – minimum requirement
• Basic knowledge of machine and equipment components used in automated manufacturing lines.
• Ability to troubleshoot process and product issues using established procedures
• Ability to distinguish between coloured wires, signals, indicators, or labels, which is required and critical for safe performance of duties.
• Flexibility and initiative. You pre-empt problems and seize opportunities without waiting to be told.
• Collaborative working. You consistently share your knowledge and findings with others in a clear and accessible way.
• Willing to work shifts and overtime. Passion for solving and resolving issues.
