Dyson Institute in Singapore is seeking a Product Technician for our Pioneer-based Advanced Manufacturing facility to support automated production lines. The role involves engineering evaluations, DOE/GR&R studies, and data-driven root-cause analysis to improve productivity and quality.
You will assist in product failure analysis, line setup, and 5S practices, providing technical support to operations and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve rejects and scrap.
Dyson Singapore is currently looking for a Product Technician to be based in our Singapore Advanced Manufacturing facility located in Pioneer to support our automated manufacturing lines.
Assist in Engineering evaluations in conduct in-depth process capability studies for Productivity and Quality improvement using DOE and GR&R. Using Data analysis software to identify the root cause of the issues. Assist in Product Failure Analysis and Root Cause Finding. Assist in executing control build from requirement of New Product Introduction, New Component. Introduction and improvement project. Provide engineering & technical support to operations team to improve overall quality and yield and work with functional groups to resolve rejects & scrap. Write documents on procedures for new processes. Practice good 5S in engineering labs. Provide technical support to production operation in meeting output & quality. Provide first level trouble shooting & resolve production stoppages due to process & product issues. Participate in line variant conversion/set-up and line patrol activities. Production Line reject, verify and disposition. To control and maintain the scrap according to Scrap Control Escalation Procedure/ OCAP. Assist in engineering evaluations, control run, change control, root cause analysis, line improvement Project and data gathering/ compilation.
At least 3 years of work experience in an automated line environment. ITC or Diploma in Mechatronic/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering - minimum requirement Basic knowledge of machine and equipment components used in automated manufacturing lines. Ability to troubleshoot process and product issues using established procedures Ability to distinguish between coloured wires, signals, indicators, or labels, which is required and critical for safe performance of duties. Flexibility and initiative. You pre-empt problems and seize opportunities without waiting to be told. Collaborative working. You consistently share your knowledge and findings with others in a clear and accessible way. Willing to work shifts and overtime. Passion for solving and resolving issues.
