Job summary

Razer seeks a Product Quality Engineer to ensure hardware and software products meet reliability standards across development and mass production. Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Computer, Mechatronics, or related).
  • Strong foundation in quality engineering, reliability engineering, or product validation/testing.
  • Knowledge of environmental and reliability testing methods, standards, and tools.
  • Understanding of reliability concepts, failure mechanisms, statistical analysis, and DOE.

Responsibilities

  • Execute quality and reliability qualifications for new product introductions (NPI).
  • Ensure all tests, coverage, and reliability assessments meet defined standards.
  • Support milestone readiness through structured quality reviews.
  • Analyze test data, failure trends, and product performance metrics.
  • Use AI/ML‑driven tools to enhance defect detection and predictive risk analysis.
  • Generate dashboards and reports to support decision making.
  • Work with Engineering to perform detailed failure analysis and drive corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Participation in structured problem‑solving activities
  • Ensure timely containment and resolution of quality issues.
  • Maintain and update quality test plans, process documentation, and qualification standards.
  • Support continuous improvement of quality workflows, testing efficiency, and data accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management system (QMS) requirements.
  • Partner with R&D, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Customer Support teams on quality improvements.
  • Support factory builds, reliability runs, supplier audits, and production validation activities.
  • Communicate findings and risks clearly to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with external test labs to ensure accurate and timely qualification results.
  • Validate supplier test results and support supplier quality improvements as needed.

Job Responsibilities :

The Product Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products meet the required quality and reliability standards throughout the development cycle and into mass production. This role supports qualification activities, drives defect prevention, performs data‑driven analysis, and partners closely with Compliance, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Customer Support to resolve issues and improve product performance.

The engineer leverage’s reliability methodologies, structured problem‑solving, and AI‑enabled analytics to identify risks early, improve quality coverage, and support continuous improvement efforts across the organization.

Essential Job Responsibilities

2. Data Analysis & AI‑Supported Quality Improvement

  • Analyze test data, failure trends, and product performance metrics.
  • Use AI/ML‑driven tools (where applicable) to enhance defect detection and predictive risk analysis.
  • Generate dashboards and reports to support decision making.

3. Issue Resolution & Root‑Cause Analysis

  • Work with Engineering to perform detailed failure analysis and drive corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Participation in structured problem‑solving activities
  • Ensure timely containment and resolution of quality issues.

4. Process & Documentation Management

  • Maintain and update quality test plans, process documentation, and qualification standards.
  • Support continuous improvement of quality workflows, testing efficiency, and data accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management system (QMS) requirements.

5. Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with R&D, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Customer Support teams on quality improvements.

Pre-Requisites :

Educational & Technical Background

  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Computer, Mechatronics, or related).
  • Strong foundation in quality engineering, reliability engineering, or product validation/testing.
  • Knowledge of environmental and reliability testing methods, standards, and tools.
  • Understanding of reliability concepts, failure mechanisms, statistical analysis, and DOE.

Professional Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in product quality, reliability engineering, validation, or hardware development.
  • Experience with NPI builds, reliability qualification, or mass‑production quality support.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and documentation processes.

AI, Analytics & Tools

  • Ability to work with data‑analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Exposure to AI/ML‑based analytics or predictive modeling tools is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of scripting/programming (Python, R, Linux/Windows) is a plus.

Soft Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly.
  • Team players with strong collaboration and cross‑functional coordination abilities.
  • High attention to detail, ownership, and a continuous‑improvement mindset.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to support local and occasional overseas builds, audits, and qualification activities.
  • Ability to work in fast‑paced, dynamic engineering environments.
