Job summary

Razer is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Engineer to lead product testing and certification, ensuring compliance with global standards. The role involves coordinating agency approvals, preparing schedules, and building relationships with regulatory bodies and suppliers.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 5–8 years of experience with EMI/EMC, RoHS, and REACH, and is able to analyze test data and drive in-house procedures toward evolving standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with environmental compliance requirements for electrical and electronic equipment is preferred.
  • 5–8 years in electronics design and development engineering with exposure to testing and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of product certification and global market access requirements.
  • Experience analyzing test data and presenting findings to cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience obtaining certifications and regulatory approvals for consumer electronics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage product testing and certification to meet regulatory standards
  • Lead, coordinate, and execute all activities related to agency approvals and compliance, including obtaining quotations, raising purchase requests, and preparing schedules, reports, test procedures, and test plans
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with regulatory agencies, product safety and EMI/EMC bodies, as well as vendors and suppliers
  • Drive the creation, development, and ongoing maintenance of in-house test procedures, test plans, and compliance guidelines aligned with current and evolving regulatory standards
  • Review new product designs early in the development process to ensure all regulatory requirements are met, and lead or coordinate root cause analysis for any regulatory non-compliance issues

Job Responsibilities

Pre-Requisites
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Experience with environmental compliance requirements for electrical and electronic equipment (e.g. EU WEEE, RoHS, REACH) is preferred
  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in electronics design and development engineering, with exposure to testing, prediction, and assessment, including consumer product safety, EMI/EMC, and RF testing
  • Strong working knowledge of product certification and global market access requirements
  • Experience analysing test data and presenting findings to cross-functional teams
  • Hands-on experience obtaining certifications and regulatory approvals for consumer electronic products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
