Job summary

A leading consulting firm in Singapore is seeking a Product Finance Contractor to assist their Product Finance team in daily operations, reconciliations, and accounting adjustments. The ideal candidate should possess at least 1 year of relevant finance experience and a degree in Accounting or Finance. Responsibilities include supporting product launches, performing reconciliations, and conducting variance analysis. This is a 12-month contract with potential for permanent placement based on performance.

Role Summary

We are seeking a Product Finance Contractor to support the Product Finance team in day-to-day operations, reconciliations, and accounting adjustments. This role is ideal for someone who wants hands‑on experience in a high‑growth, product‑driven finance environment.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Support
  • Support Product Finance Managers with data and accounting requirements for new product launches and enhancements.

  • Assist in preparing inputs for financial and management reporting, ensuring data completeness and accuracy.

Reconciliation & Journal Entries
  • Perform various reconciliations (e.g., product revenue vs. ledger, balance reconciliations, system vs. source data).

  • Prepare and post manual journal entries for adjustments, reclassifications, and corrections under guidance from senior team members.

  • Track and document reconciliation differences, follow up with relevant teams, and support issue resolution.

Analysis & Reporting
  • Support basic revenue and cost analysis, variance analysis, and month‑end close tasks.

  • Assist in maintaining documentation of accounting rules, data mappings, and process flows.

Requirements
  • Degree qualified with1+ year of working experience in finance, accounting, audit, or related roles.

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline. Added audit or an accounting qualification is beneficial but this is really not a must

  • Basic understanding of IFRS; exposure to US GAAP is a plus but not mandatory.

  • Responsible. Strong attention to detail and high sense of ownership for data accuracy.

  • Thrive in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.

  • Able to commit to a 12 months contract (for a good performer, there may be a chance to be considered for a perm role at the end of the 12 months assignment).
