Job summary

KLA-TENCOR (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced hardware engineer to drive improvements on established product lines and lead sub-system design and analysis.

You will integrate sub-systems, troubleshoot tests, and participate in early supplier involvement for technology and NPI programs. Candidates should have a strong technical and business acumen, excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, and the ability to travel on short notice to support manufacturing operations and

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical engineering with 7–9 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in hardware engineering or product development and manufacturing operations.
• Technical understanding of wafer inspection and metrology products.
• Strong technical, business, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of product life cycle, ECO, and SAP systems is desirable.
• Willingness to travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Support continuous improvement on current product line through design improvements and processes.
• Work on sub-system design and analysis for both current and new product line.
• System and sub-system integration, troubleshooting and test.
• Support and lead early supplier involvement in technology and NPI programs, balancing technical and business needs.
• Support achievement of business objectives including tech and product requirements, cost reductions, and problem resolutions.
• Responsible for supplier training and development for wafer inspection and metrology products.

Requirements:

• Minimum BS Degree in Mechanical engineering or related, with 7-9 years’ experience.
• Experience in hardware engineering or product development, as well as experience in manufacturing operations.
• Require a technical understanding of wafer inspection and metrology products.
• Position requires solid technical, business, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of product life cycle, ECO, and SAP systems are highly desirable.
• Able to travel for on short notice.
