Job summary

Private Advertiser in Singapore is seeking a detail‑oriented Purchasing Associate to support daily buying activities for a growing food distribution business serving foodservice and retail clients.

You will liaise with local and overseas suppliers, prepare POs, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with warehouse and sales teams to ensure timely replenishment and accurate records. Diploma in related field and 2+ years' purchasing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or relevant qualification in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Proven ability to communicate with suppliers and internal teams.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily purchasing activities and ensure timely replenishment of products.
• Liaise with local and overseas suppliers on pricing, availability, lead time, orders and deliveries.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and maintain purchasing records.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and sales teams for stock availability.
• Follow up on incoming shipments and supplier deliveries.
• Compare supplier quotations and source competitive prices.
• Maintain and update supplier, product and pricing information.
• Monitor product costs and alert management to significant price changes.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding product specifications, packaging and quality requirements.
• Assist in handling discrepancies related to quantity, pricing, delivery and quality.
