Job summary

NAVAL GROUP FAR EAST PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a procurement professional to drive sourcing, vendor management, and end-to-end purchasing activities.

You will negotiate terms, manage supplier relationships, and ensure on-time delivery in line with project requirements. The role requires 2–3 years hands-on purchasing experience, a Diploma or Bachelor’s in a related field, and proficiency in SAP and MS Excel.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Business, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on purchasing experience, preferably in engineering, manufacturing, marine, or defence sectors.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Immediate or short-notice availability is highly preferred due to contract nature.

Responsibilities

• Execute sourcing activities, conduct market research, and evaluate supplier quotes based on cost, quality, and delivery.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms within delegated authority.
• Handle the complete purchase-to-delivery lifecycle, including PO issuance, logistics tracking, and expediting delayed orders.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to align procurement with technical project needs.
• Ensure all purchasing complies with company procedures, export controls, and budget limits.
• Maintain strong working relationships with assigned vendors and support their onboarding process.
• Resolve vendor issues regarding pricing, shortages, delays, and documentation.
• Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance using scorecards and support corrective action investigations when needed.
