Job summary

TRI STAR SECURITY PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced procurement lead to ensure material supply capacity aligns with production, quality, and new product development requirements.

You will negotiate with suppliers, finalize and sign contracts, and work with quality engineers to develop supplier improvement plans. The role also involves coordinating with cross-functional teams on new product development and staying informed about development plans and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering or a science/technology-related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing procurement teams.
• Familiar with supplier landscape in machinery industry and processes such as machining, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding.

Responsibilities

• Ensure supply capacity meets production, quality, and new product development needs.
• Negotiate with suppliers and finalize key contract terms.
• Negotiate contract periods, finalize terms, and sign contracts.
• Work with quality engineers to develop supplier development plans and monitor implementation.

Job description

Responsibility

1. Ensure that the supply capacity of the materials can meet the company's requirements for production, quality, and new product development;

2. Be responsible for negotiating with suppliers and finalizing key contract terms;

3. Negotiate with suppliers based on the contract periods specified for each item, finalize the terms of various contracts, and sign the contracts;

4. Work with quality engineers to develop supplier development (support) plans and monitor their implementation;

5. Participate in the coordination of new product development and stay informed of new product development plans and schedules.

Requirement

1. Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in engineering or a science/technology-related field;
2. Purchasing experience in industries such as electronic equipment, electromechanical (mechatronics), and electrical; with 5+ years of experience managing procurement teams;
3. Familiar with the supplier landscape in the machinery industry; familiar with machining, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding and other processes; knowledgeable about standard components and packaging industries;
4. Willing to accept business trips or long-term assignment in Europe and other locations;
5. English proficiency at working level, with fluent spoken and written English; candidates with proficiency in any of the above-mentioned European languages are preferred.
