Job summary

SUNMAN SOLUTION ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a seasoned Procurement Manager to oversee ACMV materials procurement for manufacturing operations, ensuring timely availability and quality.

You will lead the procurement team, source and negotiate with suppliers, monitor costs and delivery schedules, and drive continuous improvement across procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement activities for ACMV manufacturing operations.
• Develop procurement strategies for timely materials, pricing, and quality.
• Lead and manage the Procurement team including planning and performance management.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers on pricing, quality, terms, and delivery.
• Develop long-term strategic supplier relationships.
• Monitor purchase orders, material requirements and delivery schedules.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Project, Engineering, Warehouse, QA/QC and Finance.
• Monitor material costs, inventory levels, and procurement spending to identify savings.
• Develop alternate suppliers and sourcing strategies to reduce risks and costs.
• Manage supplier performance including delivery, quality, pricing and service levels.
• Resolve supplier disputes, delays, shortages and quality issues.
• Establish and improve procurement procedures, controls and approvals.
• Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses and supplier performance reports.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with policies, budgets and approvals.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction across procurement.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the company's overall procurement activities for ACMV manufacturing operations.
• Develop procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of materials, competitive pricing and consistent quality.
• Lead and manage the Procurement team, including planning, workload allocation and performance management.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers on pricing, quality, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Manage key suppliers and develop long-term strategic supplier relationships.
• Monitor purchase orders, material requirements and delivery schedules to support production and project timelines.
• Work closely with Production, Planning, Project, Engineering, Warehouse, QA/QC and Finance teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor material costs, inventory levels and procurement spending, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop alternative suppliers and sourcing strategies to reduce supply and cost risks.
• Manage supplier performance, including delivery, quality, pricing and service levels.
• Resolve supplier disputes, delivery delays, material shortages and quality issues.
• Establish and improve procurement procedures, controls and approval processes.
• Prepare procurement reports, cost analysis and supplier performance reports for management.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, budgets and approval requirements.
