Job summary

Redstone Commodity Search is seeking a Procurement Manager for its Steel Trading Desk in Singapore. You will oversee end-to-end PO tracking, negotiate with suppliers, and align procurement with commercial teams to ensure timely deliveries and order fulfillment.

The role requires 5–10 years in steel procurement, a proven record in tender management, and Mandarin language skills with the ability to travel frequently to support global trading activities.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years in procurement or purchasing in steel industries.
• Experience managing complex tender processes.
• Must be Mandarin-speaking and able to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end purchase order tracking to ensure timely delivery and production continuity.
• Negotiate and manage supplier orders to meet business needs.
• Partner with sales teams to support commercial, customer and order fulfilments.
• Drive contract compliance and initiate efforts to reduce total cost of ownership.
• Monitor and optimize supplier and mill performance for quality, reliability and pricing.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Oversee end-to-end purchase order tracking to ensure timely delivery and production continuity.
• Responsible for negotiations and supplier interactions of orders for goods and services to meet business needs.
• Partner with sales teams to support commercial, customer and order fulfillments.
• Drive contract compliance and execute initiatives to reduce TCO.
• Monitor and optimize supplier and mill performance for quality, reliability and competitive pricing.

Key Qualifications / Experience

• 5-10 Years of Procurement and/or Purchasing / Supply Chain role within the Steel Industry.
• Demonstrated track record in managing complex tender process.
• Vendor Performance Optimisation and Supply Chain Expediting.
• MUST be Mandarin Speaking / able to travel frequently.
