Job description

Responsibilities:

• 1. Develop and execute procurement strategies for food ingredients, ensuring alignment with company goals, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• 2. Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers/vendors based on criteria such as price, quality, reliability, and delivery timelines.
• 3. Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on food ingredient trends, prices, and availability, and provide insights to the management team.
• 4. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, favorable payment terms, and ensure long-term partnerships.
• 5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, quality control, and finance, to understand ingredient requirements and ensure smooth procurement processes.
• 6. Manage supplier relationships, conduct regular supplier performance reviews, and address any issues or disputes that may arise.
• 7. Monitor and track supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality control, and adherence to contractual obligations.
• 8. Continuously evaluate and optimize the procurement process to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance.
• 9. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to procurement and food safety.
• 10. Prepare reports, metrics, and analysis related to procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings.
• 11. Any other duties assigned by the management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 1. Bachelor's degree
• 2. Proven experience of 2-3 years in procurement within the food industry, preferably in food ingredients.
• 3. Strong knowledge of food ingredient specifications, market trends, and sourcing strategies.
• 4. Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• 5. Sound understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation.
• 6. Proficiency in using procurement software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
• 7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• 8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
